Using Designs in Heartopia — Blueprints & Building Tips

Pixel art created in Design Studio doubles as a numbered "blueprint" you can follow while building in the game. This page walks through reproducing your design on a Heartopia canvas, with tips to make the work faster.

1. Match the Canvas Type

Heartopia offers several design slots — outfits, canvases and more — each with a different pixel count. In "Create New", choose the same canvas type and precision (pixel count) as the slot you plan to use in the game before converting. Works made in free-size canvas mode may not fit the in-game slots, since their dimensions are unrestricted.

2. Build with Block Work Mode

  1. After conversion, open work mode. The canvas is divided into 10×10 blocks.
  2. Each block is shown enlarged — place colors in the game following the color numbers on the blueprint.
  3. Mark blocks complete as you go. Progress is saved, so you can stop anytime and resume later.
  4. For simple designs, normal work mode (working color by color across the whole canvas) can be faster.

Tip: Working with the game and this tool side by side is ideal. On a single phone, add the tool to your home screen for quick app-like switching. The color highlight feature dims everything except the color you are currently placing, so you never lose your spot.

3. Prep That Makes Building Easier

4. Share Your Finished Work

Save works to your account, send share links to friends, or post to "Everyone's Designs". Gallery works can be used as blueprints by anyone, so you can also enjoy rebuilding other players' designs in your own game.

Note: Please do not publish works that use images, logos or characters whose rights belong to others without permission. Published works appear in the gallery only after administrator review.
